On the right path for Balderstone & Kirkholt

Residents asked us to sort out the footpath between Caesar Street and Oldham Road. It was overgrown, muddy, and littered with fly-tipped waste. Our candidate Philip Massey worked with Rochdale Borough Council, RBH and the Highways Agency to arrange improvements. Thanks to the Rochdale Borough Council Clean & Green Team the path has been cleared of mud, litter and fly-tipping. RBH have been asked to arrange repairs to the parts of the path which they own.

Not only is improving the roads and footpaths in our ward a priority for Phil, Rochdale Labour has pledged to increase access to the amazing Clean & Green Team in their 2021 manifesto.
Phil said, ‘Getting our footpaths clean, safe and convenient to use is crucial to tackling the climate emergency. This is already a well used path, and I’m sure that now it’s been cleaned up it will be used even more. We should all love where we live.’
